What is SDRO?

The Dominican Society of Radiation Therapy Oncology - SDRO It is a legal, apolitical, non-profit, scientific character, which brings together medical radiation oncologists, oncological sub-specialties and doctors in oncological training in the country and abroad, with common interests in the study and treatment of neoplastic diseases with ionizing radiation.

Promote academic development and cancer research at the national level, emphasizing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the cancer patient, through a multidisciplinary approach, actively participating and promoting academic, research, dissemination and information activities aimed at the cancer community, patients and society in general.

To be an active, innovative, nationally and internationally recognized medical organization, with a presence in the development of projects and initiatives that contribute to the well-being of its members and that of its patients, hand in hand with the oncological and technological advances in radiation oncology. We seek to increase our role as a national reference society, working as a team, consolidating our presence in the defense and promotion of quality, equity and access to care for cancer patients.
